I know I was watching the tracking number like a hawk. They came while I was at work. My wife is so awesome to pick them up for me beings she is allergic to feathers!

I have ordered some Cochin bantams from purely poultry, they will ship next Wednesday (the 20)! And I was wondering, of any of you guys have ordered Cochin bantams from them, could I see pics? I got, blue, barred, partridge, self blue, and black. Minimum order for me was 15, plus free shipping

The price is comparable, sometimes more to Ebay sellers that have priced their eggs low and shipping commensurate with where you live and where the eggs originate. I have gotten some really really good deals on Ebay on eggs that ship across the country that I receive in 2 or 3 days, packed very well. These are button quail eggs usually. I don't like to order larger eggs for shipment unless its a really easy hatcher like a barnyard mix of chickens. I would never order large duck or goose eggs online. PP is also slow. I ordered my eggs a week ago and they still have not shipped and probably won't ship out till next week. At least with Ebay, you know when they are going to ship because it says so in the listing.

My recent experience with PP wasn't exactly pleasant. I emailed them and added a note to my order that I needed the eggs shipped / received on a Saturday because it wasn't possible for the receiver to go to the Post Office during the day to pick them up. almost a week later I get an email telling me they would ship out on a Monday and the post office would not deliver them to the house, they would hold them for pick up. I called them, got disconnected, called again and the woman on the phone wouldn't listen to me, she kept insisted that predators would get to the eggs and that their 'warranty' would be voided if the post office was to deliver the eggs to the house. I have had many, many deliveries of eggs from the post office. I have hatched many chicks from the eggs delivered to me. I live twelve miles from the post office and almost never go that way. It would mean 24 miles round trip to pick up the eggs. I live in the country with raccoons, bears, bobcats, possums and other predators and no animal has ever bothered eggs left on my porch. If anything they would want my live birds, but, knock on wood that hasn't happened yet. The woman kept talking over me and not listening. She kept getting what I was saying wrong, because she wouldn't listen. This is a gift for my grandson, my daughter is a special education teacher and she cannot go to the post office during the day to pick up the eggs. She finally said she would put a note on the box notifying the post office to deliver the eggs to the porch. But she said that I would need to call the post office and let them know that they needed to do this as well, because all post offices hold eggs for pick up. Is this really the case? My mail carrier always delivers the eggs to the house, unless someone (without my permission) has put a note on the box to Hold for Pick Up.

I am really hoping this turns out okay. I think the hallmark of good customer service is when a company listens to customers and pays attention to their notes.

I hate to be such a complainer, but this order was important to me. I love my grandson and I want him to be successful.

I just received my 22 chicks all alive and healthy, good prices on maranas and some other breeds that's might be more expensive with other hatcheries marking them as rare breed.
