I have these quail and a speckled chest means a female, a rusty red chest is a male
is it a girl or boy?

Also if you flip the bird over and firmly rub the belly near the vent opening and foamy appears it's a male if not a female . Using these two in combo should give you a good idea.

this is a coturnix quail
The buff is a cock (sorry no eggs there), the brown is a jumbo coturnix quail female, should be some pretty eggs. See pics.
