A year ago we got our first ducks, a Rouen and a Khaki Campbell. The turned out to be a pair, and our female khaki decided to sit this winter. We just hatched ten ducklings from this cross and were trying to find pictures of what babies from this cross might look like.

Ours came out half looking essentially Rouen, and the other half is light on the brown-gray-white spectrum with a dark head spot, faint back stripe, and a dark tail. Does anyone have and thoughts or pictures of what these babies might look like as adults?

hello i was wondering if you could add updated pictures of your crossed ducks!?

Thanks for reminding me! Unfortunately I have since sold all of the babies, but when they grew up they all looked exactly like Rouens! The color differences as ducklings was not related to sex or what they would look like as adults. Just one of those odd things I guess!

Thank you for getting abck to me so fast!! :) I recently fell for a Rouen drake and was thinking of getting him a partner but read online that Rouen hens have a poor egg production. Where a Khaki has good egg production, I was wondering if there were any problems or changes from the original breeds. Your little ducklings are very cute by the way!!
