Is this normal?

So I know they are in their awkward stage but noticed one isn't feathering out like the other two. [IMG][IMG]

It seems to be on both sides of the neck in the same spots. Just like the feathers haven't grown yet.

Totally normal. The chick down they are born with will only cover so much, as the grow.

Oh thank you! The other two seem to feather out evenly. I know they are all different but rather be safe then sorry

I have a bird with a similar condition. Seems fine otherwise. I'll keep watch and make sure she does eventually grow them in. Other folks have said this can happen if that patch of fluff gets stuck to the egg during hatching and gets pulled out during birth, robbing the bird of its initial fluff layer.
