Was so excited yesterday coming home to a baby in the incubator. I initially had 9 eggs in, and a week ago after candling discarded 6 dud eggs. I was so disapponted I didn't think any of them would hatch. To my surprise I got this little one! (And had to go get few day old chicks to keep him company.). All are in the brooder now eating drinking sleeping and peeping. Couldn't be happier! :)

dawwwww Congrats!!!! what breed? so cute look at them feet!!

oh cool!! they were shipped or local eggs?  So happy for you!   perhaps Partridge Cochin chicks?   https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/laotong-chicks

I think you're right about the breed!
Will post more pics as the little one grows.
They were shipped eggs from mcmurry hatchery and I'm very disappointed about how many were not even fertilized to begin with.
Now that I've heard about and experienced overpriced shipped eggs I will try to only get local ones.
Thank you for the thread I will definitely head over there! :)
