I have finally gotten the opportunity to have pet chickens after wanting them for a terribly long time. Cue wild cheering. I was in Tractor Supply picking up some other things whenever I walked by the area where they have the chicks my heart broke to see a little one flipping all about. I thought that I was bringing her home to die but she is relatively bright eyed and still chirping away.

I have been looking through Google to see if I could find a fix. I have found information on splayed legs, but I am not too sure that is what she has going on. Instead of only having her legs go to the sides she just sort of flips around. Whenever I hold her i notice that she doesn't attempt bending her legs as much as she tries to hold them straight.

Tomorrow I will get a video of how she moves.

I am excited to be joining you guys with my own little hopeful flock to be.

Congratulations on your new chicks!
Yes, please post a video, that will be helpful.
In the mean time I would put vitamins/electrolytes in their water just in case it is a vitamin deficiency and not a neurological/developmental condition. You can get those at Tractor Supply as well.
If she is having trouble moving about, make sure she is getting plenty to drink, chicks dehydrate quickly.

It was a long night. I sat up with the babies all night hand feeding and hand watering the chick that I was asking about and another one that was rather listless but one passed away around 2 o'clock and the other went soon after closer to three. I knew that it wasn't all that likely for all of my chicks to live and those two I got specifically because they weren't looking great but it is still such a blow to lose them. Torn up about it, but trying to focus on the ones that are still here. They are all happily napping at the moment.

Everyone else seems to be doing well though! I am going to go and pick up some SaveAChick from Tractor Supply today to keep on hand for the rest of my crew.

Thank you for the comment <3 I look forward to being here! As a first time chicken parent I am sure that I have got quite an adventure ahead of me.

I'm sorry you lost your little ones.
Sometimes they just fail to thrive.
By focusing on the ones that are left, it will help heal your heart.
Hope everyone grows into happy healthy girls.
Good Luck
