Thank you all, this is an amazing site. I have found so much amazing information and ideas on here. With your help I chose the breeds of my first flock today and brought my girls home.
They are all pullets, i have 2 Ancona, 2 Rhode Island Red, and 2 Gold Sex Link. They are 3 days old and I'm looking forward to a lot of fun with them!
And all thanks to you guys.

Thank you again!

Great choices! I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with them! Feel free to post any questions you have, we love helping!
Any pics of the little cuties?

Hi! Enjoy your little girls they grow so fast! I have an Ancona named Wendy. My husband calks her Chatty Patty. She loves to follow us around and "talk" to us. Very cute! Enjoy and post us some pics of your babies :jumpy

Congratulations on your first flock!! I promise, they're going to be even more fun than you expect. It's so much fun getting to know their little personalities!

Kind of a bad picture, but these are the babies that I got yesterday. All Dominiques. I've been reading the characteristics that males have versus females, and am now convinced that they are all males. Only one has the compact yellow spot on its head, the others have bigger more irregular spots. Only one (different one) has yellow feet, while the others have more brownish on them.

Any opinions? Again, sorry for the bad picture. I don't want to take them out of their warmth.
