I have a female quail for about a week she has only ever laid one egg , since then she's been laying foaming stuff does anyone know what's wrong with her ?

What type of quail? How old is she? Does she act sickly?

She's a jap quail and not sure of the age .
Perhaps she has a VitD deficiency or has an infection in her reproductive system that is causing her to lay unformed eggs.
Is she by herself? Are you sure the first egg was from "her"? Foam is a normal thing that male quails make when they are reproductively active. If a hen has just been mated she might pass some foam. Of course the quail roo will pass lots of it at times when he poops.
