Fencing in a holler

fencing in a holler for extra forage and shade. My cop and run sits next to it and they are covered with netting and was assuming the trees would be natural netting. My question is are my chickens going to roost in the trees? I let them out and they go to the holler but never roosted in the trees but if they are there all the time will they?

Holler...deep ravine?...steep land hard to fence.

Birds should always come back to coop at night to roost if they are well acclimated to coop.
 
I have a ash tree right next to my Coop. After I put my chicks in the coop for like two months I let them out to free range. Yep sure enough they tried to roost in the tree.lucky for me it is a small ash tree so I am able to climb it and use the coop for a ladder . it is the only tree I have in my yard so I had to put the coop and run there for shade. After getting them down a couple of times they learned that they can't do that. They go into the coop like they should. With my Coop being right next to the tree and makes it to easy for them. If the coop was not right next to it they might not of tried it. Just my experience.

These are picture of the holler/ravine. The chickens are well adapted to the coop. I guess I am going to just gave to give it a try.
I will try to send a pic of my coop and run also
