Thanks! Alas the hatch isn't going too well. Day 12 and I opened up a cracked egg to find that development looks like it stopped on day 5 or something. All the eggs look like that one when candled so I'm not holding out much hope. sad.png

Sorry things don't look good for your hatch. In case you haven't seen the articles in the Learning Center, there are quite a few of them on incubating eggs that might be helpful to you:

http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-and-raising-chicks

One of the articles even goes into what can cause eggs to fail hatching:

Good luck next time, I'm sure your assistant will be more than ready to try again!

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Hello!

Welcome to BYC and the coop! There's a lot of great peeps here! Feel free to ask lots of questions. But most of all, make yourself at home. I'm so glad you decided to join the BYC family. I look forward to seeing you around BYC. Good luck with your hatch.
Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-
