My muscovy hen started sitting on a nest on Feb 18th. The nest is inside a chicken tractor (in the covered area of it) so it's on the ground. I haven't moved the tractor obviously. It's raining pretty heavily today, and so I asked the guy I got the tractor from (he runs a hatchery) if it would be a problem if the ground and nest got wet under the faithful sitter. He said no that's how they do it in the wild and water is better.
That makes sense to me, but I was curious if anyone else had any experience with this.
