Silkes

Hello I was maybe going to get a few Silkes from tractor supply and was wondering if anyone has seen a brown Silkie with the color like a chicken in this pic shown here thanks

That looks like a chocolate Orpington. TSC won't have any silkies like that. I am not sure how many breeders are working on chocolate silkies.

 

The colors TSC could possibly have are white, buff, blue, black, splash, grey, partridge, red or lavender.

Yes it's just a pic to show what color I would like them to be in and I know tsc won't have the I was wondering if there was any in that color

I have seen 'Chocolate Silkies' advertised, they were all mixed with other breeds to get the chocolate color (Seramas or bantam Orpingtons) and were being bred back to be closer to Silkie types. I think last year there were hatching eggs being advertised here, maybe you could search through the old auction listings to see if any active members still offer them?

Yes I found it they told me what they bred them with to get the chocolate color they are getting more to start breeding more of them
