Hi from Florida

400

There's a lot of great peeps here! Feel free to ask lots of questions. But most of all, make yourself at home. I'm so glad you decided to join the BYC family. I look forward to seeing you around the run.

Thank you all for such a 'warm' Welcome!!

After putting the Bossy hen away for a whole day she seemed lower at the totem pole but, now she seems to be doing it again....so, do you think trying it again would work?? She isn't as bad but, still thinks she rules the Roost....

The little rooster whom I've named Todd is out running with the girls now, but like I mentioned getting 'sometimes' chased by the Boss....he's holding his own though and has even 'mounted' yes, even the Bossy one....lol....he reaches the middle of their backs is all but, he's showing them who's really the Boss!!

Just updating....the Rooster is still holding his own....I have put the Bully hen in her own pen for 3 days at a time and she comes back it seems more Dominant then ever before....so, I just figured that little guy Todd rooster is gonna have to put his big boy panties on and either stay out of the way of her or stand up to her....he Runs from her lol....it's funny, cause he yells like a kid when they see each other....but they all roost together....

However, our favorite hen and Todds favorite to, I opened the coop and I was missing one....I found her passed away....her comb was blue, nothing else I could see on her....she was not herself yesterday and from reading, it could have been Heart problems??

So very sad, she was my daughters....and my daughter is in having surgery today right now....I have to keep busy here in the waiting room and I told her I would find out if my "Peeps" on here would know why her chicken passed away....all the other chickens (3 + Todd) is doing good....

Any help is Appreciated.

Thank You NickyKnack for that info. I looked it but the symptoms didn't seem the same for her. Although the others just seem lost without her unless they are getting sick to. They are eating good still, just have that loss looking attitude. Is that possible? For them to even recognize one of their Sisters is gone??

Thanks Again,
Carlena
