Hello,I purchased six chicks from my local feed store yesterday and they are doing fine. Three Rhode Islands and Three Auracana-Ameracaunas. I have an issue however. As of about four hours ago one of the Auracanas began incessantly pecking at the eyes of the other chicks and was wondering if there was anything I could do short of isolating her. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Yes, you can use "aversion therapy" to discipline the chick to stop the behavior.

When you see this chick begin to target the eye of another chick, and this works for feather plucking, too, give the chick a quick, but gentle, poke on its back. Do this each time you see it even think about going for an eyeball.

This is very effective and the behavior will stop in a very short period of administering this "therapy".
