We started raising meat rabbits last summer and decided our wire cages in hutch type frame were not secure against predators (coyotes, fox, opposum, mink, bobcats) so my husband built the shed!

We had just put the cage frames inside and took the roofs off.

Wire walls currently with plastic sheeting that will come down as weather warms. We will add more permanent "shutters" later this year but the gables will remain open wire.
No electricity or running water. Spring fed creek @40' away and chicken coop/yard is same distance. Our Heelers guard our house at night but investigate any noises from the rabbit shed and chicken coop area.
We still haven't hung the cages but plan to with conduit and cable soon. They have gravity fed water nipples. (When it freezes they have bowls I fill 2x a day) The floor is still dirt that I rake out every 3/4 days. Plan to modify that this spring. (Worm bins?)
Currenty it houses 3 does (2 Cali-1NZW) and 2 bucks (1Cali-1NZW) we will add another NZW doe this spring. Plan on babies by April.
My quail cage will also be in here(3x6) and it serves as storage for all our feed bins.
Simple matchbox construcion that is very sturdy, functional and we can move it if we need or want to.
