I have read that the Jumbo Pekins are bred to be large for meat purposes, and because of that can have issues with their hips and legs leading to a short life, maybe normal Pekins would be a better choice if you haven't already purchased them>?
According to Metzer's breed comparison chart they lay 140-175 per year. Regular Pekin are 140-220.
