I just bought Vetericyn, Nutridrench, gentle iodine wound spray and Duramycin 72-200 (saw someone else who used that and it worked on her duck) before I get home is there anything else I need???

Tomorrow will be a week since the bite he clearly has an infection and my vet won't see him until Monday and this is not going to be good for him to wait to Monday Also money is tight

@Toothless looks like infection the vet may have to aspirate it to get the pus out or lance it, I'd def start him on some antibiotics and make sure to follow directions. Use the veterycin on any wounds too. you can use Veterycin one day and the iodine wound spray the next. You can also soak his leg and foot in warm Epsom salt water just don't let him drink it, it is also a laxative. But warm Epsom salt water is good for inflammation and swelling so it can't hurt to try it at least once a day. I use a bucket or dish pan something I can put my duck into that he can't get to the water to drink. half cup Epsom salt to gal of nice warm water. Nutri Drench is also a very good product.

Please let us know how he is doing

Update: Cuddles the duck is doing SO MUCH better!!!!! He is talking when I walk in to check on him, more "lively" foot is looking much better and no more "blisters"! He still can't walk on his leg, and I think the bone is broken or maybe torn ligament and tendons. Not sure. But the color is coming back in his leg and foot etc after meds!

Thanks so much!!!

cuddles, was very popular at the vet office today!!! Lol even got some crackers and water ! Lol The vet did give him pain medicine that would last about 24 hours, she said I can come back every other or every two days if needed. she kept me on the anabiotic I got from TSC, do .2cc every day for the next 10 days . She said I've been doing a really good job he looks over all really healthy , she's not sure if it's broken or if the infection inflamed his joint and just got a very stiff leg . To give him a warm bath with Epsom salt in it and allow him to soak twice a day to get him to move his leg.

Over all a great visit.

She said there wasn't enough breastmeat so to put the injection on his thigh and alternate legs!

Sounds good. Be sure he doesn't drink any Epsom salt water though it is also a laxative.
