First time hatching eggs!!! We had a small 7 egg incubator and it says to stand the eggs up. But how do you turn them that way? I have the pointy end down and big end up. Should we turn them from top to bottom 3-4 times daily. I'm really confused.

I use rings cut from paper towel or tp rolls. 1/4"-1/2" wide. I lay my eggs on their sides, fat end (should have the air cell when candled) slightly elevated. I mark the egg with an x and an o. X on one side O on the other. I rotate them an odd number of times a day (5). The X and O are so you can tell where the egg is in rotation. Each egg gets rotated 180° each time. If you incubate them completely upright, fat end up, in an egg Turner or cut down egg carton, the get tilted back and forth an odd number of times a day.

I reread. Since yours will be upright, fat end up, they will just get tilted, you want to just tilt them in one direction each time. But do it an odd number of times a day. The object is to keep the fetus from sticking to the inside of the shell.
