Hi, I'm Jacki and I have ducks

I'm new here, but I always come here for advice.

I have brand new ducklings. They started hatching on valentine's day. Today I noticed that momma duck keeps biting one of them when he gets close to her. I was wondering if anyone knew why and any ideas on what I should do?

You may want to ask your question over on the Duck Forum. There are may duck experts over there.

Please keep an eye on momma,  some kill their babies for reasons only known to them.  Do you have a brooder you could raise him in, maybe with another duckling so he isn't lonely.

x2 on the duck forum, I'm sure someone over there can explain it.

What breed of ducks do you have? It would be fun to see a picture of your ducklings if you'd like to share.

Hi and welcome to BYC. The only thing i know about ducks is how to cook 'em I'm afraid, so I'll pass on that question :)

All the best
