So just about the first night in homemade incubator I have been waking up to check temp every 3 hour. I awoke to notice my incubator running at 106 I instantly opened and IR temped the egg shells at 104 the ones along the outside edges were still 99 Because it was first night. So my question is are the eggs that went up to 104 automatically dead or no? What are my chances? Either way on day 3 now been running steady since. I will post hatch results thanks for any tips.

You should be fine my incubator runs from 97 to 102. I just adjust it a little when i check it every other day or so i haven't hatched out as many as some on here maybe around 1000 or so. And i wouldnt open it when you see the temps not dead on. I also dont worry about the humidity just get it to 50% close to or on hatch day to soften that shell up some. Their pretty tough little birds and can handle some hiccups.

Thanks for replying it's good advice cause I notice that even when it's running at 102 for 30 minutes I open and temp eggs there only 99 I'm hoping they will be fine and I'll post results
