Little chicks in the house grow up really fast...and jump out of
their box one night and run around making little chicken mess
on your brand new couch, and the new carpet...

Hustle on that coop was right!!! By the time we finished it enough to move them out, 2 of them could still slip through the run fence so we kept them shut up in the coop for a few more days until those two little ones fattened up a bit. We had no idea what we were doing. I had an idea and it kind of started from a coop on this site. We quickly learned we are not carpenters but my how we figured things out! (It was that or kill each other) We had a beautiful spring and loved being outside to work on it everyday that we could. My husband is an international pilot for Delta and is gone at least half of the month so I did what I could when he wasn't home. I hope to post pics of the finished product soon. My advice like yours to any newbie would be get it done before you get the chicks. Too much stress if you don't!
