Whats wrong with my roo's comb?

I have a BLRW that is about 10mths old. He doesnt like to be handled much but today while he was sunbathing I noticed his comb looked bad and was worried he and the other roo had a fight, or possibly got into something while free ranging the last couple of days. After I chased him down and got hold of him, I'm not sure whats up with him. He is eating and drinking ok. 4 days ago I noticed he had very dark brown liquid poo, but we also had major sever weather that day also and chalked it up to stress from the weather (I did happen to take a picture. Sorry bout the mud it had just stormed. Its nearly the same color so I marked around it in red) Might be TMI but it just squirted out as you can see in the picture. His comb looked normal that day. He has been free ranging ever since so im not sure how his poo is now. Any ideas what this could be? What should I do to take care of it,Just leave it be?


 
Looks like injury from fighting. You can clean it up with warm water and Vetrycin, and apply some Neosporin and Pick-No-More lotion if you wish. Make sure he has plenty of room to get away from your other cockerels, since they've obviously been scrapping.
 
Thanks! I'll go out tonight after he goes to roost and clean him up so I don't stress him out too bad chasing him down again. They normally free range on 3 acres. But I did lock their run up after they went to roost in the coop last night and didn't open the run til about lunch time today since I wasn't home. Their coop is 8x8 and the run is 8x12. So he has a good bit of room, but the other roo has been a bit more of a butt head lately so he could of just Had it out for him. We are working on a new coop and run.

You might consider putting some visual barriers in the run for when they're locked in. Just a 2' or 3' tall board set across the middle of the area means that the subordinate cockerel can get out of sight of the other and is less likely to be attacked. You might also put in some roosts a few feet off the ground, as they offer another means of escape.
 
He didn't come back to the coop tonight.

I found him!!!!! He was hiding on a post under the ledge where the nesting boxes are instead of on the roost in his normal spot.
