Help! Eye infection in goose?

Hi, would appreciate some advice if anyone knows what this is. My smooth sebastopol goose Clyde is 10 months old and started with swollen red lumpy eye-inside rims a few weeks ago. I have tried eye drops and a course of Tylan antibiotics but neither have made any difference. Also the lobes at the top of his beak where it joins his head seem warm, soft & swollen, and he has a soft swelling / lump under his beak too. The vet said these are glands and thinks it may be an infection. He is still eating and seems fine in himself but im really worried. I have tried 2 vets now there doesn't seem to be anything like this documented anywhere, and my vet said there is very little on geese and approved meds, so at a dead end. He is eating & pooping fine, seems his normal happy self, no discharge or coughing. See pics

Eye infections are tricky to deal with geese.
If my geese get any sort of eye infection I just clean around the eye with warm water and soap.
But yours doesn't look so bad? Maybe just wait a few days because it doesn't look so bad but I do see what you mean.
This has nothing to do with the infection but why does Clyde have a knob at his beak? I'm not familiar with Sebastopol geese but I don't think they have knobs like a Chinese goose wink.png

Possible infection? I know few drugs are "approved" for use in waterfowl, and some are banned, but some vets will still prescribe them. Is your vet willing to prescribe such drugs? Perhaps a steroid and antibiotic eye drop? In the picture I can see what looks like maybe a little hard pus in the inflamed tissue. Take a closer look at that.

@@gooseylucy, when you gave the Tylan, how much I'd you give? And when you saw the vets, did either suggest swabbing her choanal slit or her eyes to check for bacteria? Call them back and ask how they would treat a cat or dog with similar symptoms.
