How common is an impacted crop really?

I'm new with chickens, and I got some chicks a few days ago. I've been reading about all these nasty problems they can get, like an impacted crop, and I'm wondering how common it really is?

impacted isn't really all that common it is just when they eat something that is too large or too long and it won't pass through the crop, it all depends upon the birds some are more prone to the problems than others.
