I don't mind at least one rooster. But I keep mine in a fenced in run, so one rooster is all I can handle. I already have two red sex links. I guess I'll just have some more red girls.

I hope mine aren't red Rangers. I've read they don't live long. As I don't wanna raise them to eat. I just like to have chickens, as pets and for egg laying. Mainly just to have though.

They look like RIR or red Rangers. Red rangers are a dual purpose bird, they have long lives and will produce brown eggs. They are Not just for meat. If the chicks were labeled the Colombian Rock cross, then more then likely they are mix with Cornish Rock, therefore making them more of a meat bird. If that is the case and they have Cornish Rock in them, they will eat like pigs and triple in size of a matter of a few days. I doubt that is what you have, most Cornish Rock cross have white feathers. If they do turn to have Cornish you can lengthen their lives with food management. Some people have them as pets and not meat birds.

They don't live long typically because they are either butchered before they reach 20 weeks and usually die before that because they eat too much, but they can live longer lives with food management.

The red rangers around here are basically a red cornish cross they grow so fast and usually end up with too many health problems to be able to keep them alive past 20 weeks.

There are a whole lot of different “red” birds those could possibly be. They might be a breed, they might be a cross. From the information you gave earlier I’ll guess that they are “Red Cross” from Mt. Healthy, but that is only a guess. They could be about anything. A whole lot of different chicks look a lot alike. From looking at the feathers coming in on the wings those could be a cross between a Rhode Island Red rooster and some sort of Columbian hen. The Columbia pattern is a white bird with black on the tail and neck and usually a little black on the wings. Delaware and Light Sussex are examples.

Hatcheries do not cross Cornish Rocks or Rangers with anything else. It is just something they don’t do. Don’t let people scare you about that.

Oh yes I have figured it out that they look like so many different breeds!! Haha! I'm like wait you look like these, no wait, now these. It's so confusing. I just want some healthy hens. I plan on ordering a small batch in a couple of months. Just to add some variety to my flock. I am hoping these ones I have are just some sort of Red Cross pullets. I'm worried about a couple of them being roosters tho. I have three that have tail feathers already, the other three still have fluff tails. There are two with the feathered tails that their tails are on a sort of v formation and then one of their tails just goes kind of straight across.
They all are very feisty and curious. They wanna run outta the brooder when I open the door and explore me and everything else. They are all chest bumping and running around and at each other flapping their wings. I hope they are all hens. I love them so much, I'm so attached to the fluff balls already and don't wanna have to rehome any males.

I guess I'm just worried that they may have been straight runs instead of pullets, since the breed was obviously wrong. I'm worried the gender may have been too.
