When i first got my ducks, i loved them. They were great pets and were really fun. Now, every time i think of my ducks i think of noisy, stress inducing animals. I still love them and always will i just its very stressful. Cleaning their cages, bumble foot, costs. What can i do to find joy in keeping ducks anymore. Thanks

Spend more time with them sit out with them and read a book while they walk around you and quack, you are thinking of all the work it takes to take care of them rather than simply enjoying like life's simple pleasures with them like sitting out in the sun.

Once in a while I get bored with my chickens and then I go out and sit on my deck chairs and watch my little flock, I've got one ameraucana that gets the zoomies and just runs across the yard for no reason, she is always good for a laugh.

Do you have somebody who can help you with the "chores"? A young person in your area might want to learn and interact with them, and help you out for a fee? If you are helped with the work part, you might have time to focus on some "fun", designing a better house or something like that.

I think if you can work on simplifying the tasks, that may help. Time with them just for fun can help, and a backup for duck dooty, too.

Ill work on my schedule to fit my and their best needs. I think the biggest issue is that they are really messy.

Ill ask around and see if anyone would like to, thanks.

Have you seen the watering station?

Keeps the rest of the bedding from getting wet.

Only takes me about 15 minutes most mornings to clean up their night pen.
Another thing is their temporary cage which is in bad shape. The good thing is is that i am starting to work on a new pen. Do you now any basic but spacious designs? Thank you for your help.
