I will get some of those peanuts for a treat.  I have a lot to learn and appreciate all the great suggestions I am getting.

Since I don't have a "trap" do you have a picture you can suggest? I have been looking at the different coops but not seeing a trap for pigeons. Thanks!

Another thing you can do is enter   " pigeon trap door "   into any search  like Google.

Your story is very touching.    I also have Grandchildren,( they are younger... 5 and 6.)  and they  they were also sad when I lost my pigeons.   They referred to them a " GRANDPAS EAGLES "

Thank you for your kind thoughts. I feel your pain in the loss of your "GRANPAS EAGLES". I was again wiped completely out of birds in one attack by a weasel and rebuilding my flock beginning of June last year. I am currently up to 13 adult birds and 2 squabs with birds on eggs. Hope you are able to rebound to backyard buddy.

I am surprised but happy to tell you that the nails in the can routine have already done the trick after just a few days. Yesterday they came roaring in after they heard me shake the nails. All the suggestions I have received are great. Thanks everyone.

keeping assorted bantams and standard chickens..    pigeons: "white dove release" racing homers, flying flights, flying birmingham rollers, parlor rollers, parlor tumblers, "coop tumblers", Chinease owls.

Looking to talk to others who enjoy our pigeon/dove hobby.  Also looking to talk chickens, especially black bantam true rosecombs i hope to have again someday, as well as silkies, and...
