Bad part is no update until 3:30 when kids get home from school think a web cam may be needed. I'll get home at 5:20 that's a lot of suspense for 1 day!!!

We have a baby. The first one that pipped is still alive with a dime sized longish hole. It hasn't made any progress in over 24 hours. This is killing me! At least I'm 30 miles away at work where I can't touch it. I don't think I could keep my hands out of the Bator trying to help.

I'm 38 miles away and still thinking I should have taken a day off had the dime sized pip when I left 3.5 hours later got a pick from my son. Still have 2.5 hours of work and 40min drive its killing me.!!!!

I just put in 15 Sulmtaler eggs in the bator 5 days ago, and should be getting 2 or 3 Bielefelders on Saturday or Monday. They are shipping out today. Both new breeds for me!!

I also have Blue/Buff Cohins that went in to lock down last night, along with a dozen backyard mixes. I have Black crested Polish and Black Copper Maran eggs to set tonight, and Mille D'uccle eggs at the post office, waiting to be picked up. I have some Olive Eggers and some more Blue/Buff Cochins due in tomorrow. The Olive eggers somehow took a trip cross country and they are somewhere between AL and here.

I am addicted....

If the baby had a dime sized hole and hadn't made any progress for 24 hours. I would probably assist it out. A hole that size probably means it started to zip.

Usually a zip is fairly quick. No more than an hour.

Mine went from first pip to hatch in about 10 hours had at least 6 pips at 4:30 am when I left for work. Will have an update around 3:30 pm when my boys get home from school. This start at the end of day 27.

If it's not out by the time I get home, I'll get it out. I've got to move another out of the turner today anyway, it'll be a good excuseexcuse to open it up and check on it.

3 out many more pips and zips one must have bleeding a little hope he is ok.
