This does not look like a normal molt to me, I don't see any nice healthy pin feathers regrowing. How long has he looked like this? Does he sleep on the ground or on a roost? Have you checked him for mites/lice?
Also, 1 year can be the expected lifespan for a broad breasted turkey, which he appears to be... correct me if I am wrong.
