Any wild bird experts? My cat thought this was dinner; she was mad at me when I told her no. Not sure if I'll be able to find it's nest in the morning but not sure momma would take it back since it is hurt. Got a teeny toothmark, I used antiseptic and wrapped it in a bandaid as there's no way to stitch something that small.
I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but I've saved and raised quite a few. First, I would take the bandaid off and just let it go ahead and close up. They need to eat every several hours, so depending on how long you've had it, it's probably going to be pretty hungry. It looks ready to eat in the pic. If you have any kind of canned meat or canned cat food, you can add some water to it and suck it up in a dropper/syringe to feed to it. If you don't know how to hand feed a bird, google it, it is pretty easy! Put it back in the nest if you can find it! Make sure you keep it in a warm draft free area. Luckily, that one looks fairly feathered out. If you can find the nest, put it back in and then keep an eye on it from afar. Usually momma bird will take it back (despite what everyone says about birds rejecting their young because of human scent). Good luck!! Feel free to pm me if you have any questions.
