I lost your posts, but I have LG tips for you! I'm using the still air 9200.
HEAT SINK. I fill the water troughs with river rocks (bought on clearance YEARS ago) to help hold the heat. It takes FOREVER to warm up initially, but after that it only takes a few minutes to recover temp. I'm a meddler, so this is important.
TEMP STABILITY. The LG is super finicky about it's environment. It's important to keep its ambient temps stable. I keep mine wrapped in a blanket this time of year because the temps in the house are up and down (60 in the morning, 67 in the afternoon). Because it's still air I'm running 101-102. With the blanket on it's not having any trouble. Without the blanket it was running 98-102. It it gets above 102, I just take the blanket off for a while. It's easier to adjust the environment than to constantly fiddle with the dial.
That's my best advice for anyone using LGs. They're persnickety, but work fine once you understand its quirks. Of course being a meddler I like looking at it all the time. LGs are not the best for setting and forgetting, even though I've done that too.
