Size difference in eggs

Thread Starter

I have been raising large chickens for some time, but may switch to bantams after the sales of theses hens are completed. Would anyone that has both kinds of birds please post a picture of the eggs side by side for comparison of the 2?

for a bantam the usual guide to go by is that they are about half the size of a standard size chicken.

Bantam eggs can be as small as a quarter.  I don't have any pictures offhand, but it will be obvious which are which! They're significantly smaller, usually half the size of standard breeds' eggs.
