Long story short in having horrible luck between a splay legged chick and a set of kittens. I think I have the splay leg under control, but through the bottom of my brooder one of my kittens (8 months old) got the toe of one of my chicks. It's a nub with the bone sticking out. I am applying bacitracin, should I be doing more? I've now blocked off the bottom of the brooder and moved six of the chicks to my back porch to treat the splay leg and now toeless chick. It is moving around fine, I'm worried about infection. Will skin grow over the bone again?
