This one has been growing fast. Goes pretty wild flying around when I come in the room, is the first to jump up as high as he/she can, and is willing to be held.
what i just read was that the white dot on top of female is longer and narrower than the males...i think i googled something about auto sexing chickens or something that came up.
So far she seems to be looking like a pullet.
The spot on a female's head is usually better "defined" than the male chick's spot. A male chicks spot will be more like a "smudge" that is more "all over" his head.
Also, females tend to be more blackish in color than the males. My rooster is brighter colored and thewhite stripes stand out more. Right now, your chick seems to have pullet coloring, plus, the comb isn't reddenning yet, and i am pretty sure my roo had comb very red and standing out by now.
i have a dozen bantam barred rocks coming in april..not sexed of course...will be interesting to see if i can pick a couple for myself to keep!
