I just bought the new incubator that little giant has made that has the built in digital thermometer in it . .it will not keep a steady temp whatsoever! Has anyone else used this incubator?

Lots of users have bought it- most that I know hate it. Try to stabilize the sensor that hangs down by attaching it to something. I've seen golf balls used, fake eggs. Something so that it will stay in one place. Make sure you have your own checked/accurate thermometers in there as well because the digital read out is notorious for being 1-3 degrees off.I just bought the new incubator that little giant has made that has the built in digital thermometer in it . .it will not keep a steady temp whatsoever! I use the 9200 with the fan installed and under my heating element that goes around the top it's still a good 2-3 degrees warmer than the outside and center. And that's the fan kit that they make for the incubators.I've had the 9300 for a while now, I absolutely despise it. Even if you can stabilize that stupid plastic probe in a good spot, you'll probably still notice that the side with the heater is a good 1-3 degrees hotter than the other side.
I'm going to try adding a fan to mine in hopes that it will even things out. If that doesn't work, I'll sell the hunk of junk and get a Hovabator.
Good luck. And as previously posted, don't ever trust the digital readout. I have to set mine 3 degrees higher to get the right temp (in half of the incubator)
Once I get the temps steady, the bator itself hold the temps well, it just stays that much warmer under the heating element. I don't usually have bad fluctuations, but I am constantly checking cause I am so scared that I will....lolThat is SO weird! My 9200 is very steady. I've got thermometers all over it and they don't vary much, maybe by .5 degree from the center to the edges.
I want that picture window too, so I can squish ma face against it at hatch time
That is excellent growth! Great pic!
