Candling tonight I saw I had a cracked egg- it is a small serama egg. Some of the white had leaked out- it couldn't have been cracked long because it wasn't like that this morning when I looked in. I dripped wax over the crack- baby was still moving around in there. I am end of day 8.... This sucks but really hoping and praying this baby survives and can hatch. The temp of the bator wouldn't melt the wax though right?

I have used nail polish on an egg from the beginning, and the egg made it to day 10.

Recently I got some eggs from a friend, 2 had cracks when I was candling for clears, they were just barnyard eggs, I thought I will not mess with them. So I pulled those with the clears.

on day 12 I candled my 3 little serama eggs, but not my other normal sized eggs. The were doing great. I did notice the heat was a bit warm, I reached in to adjust the eggs, and the sleeve of my night gown pulled the pen flashlight down on to my eggs putting a crack in one LO mix egg, and one Serama.

Here I didn't want to mess with cracked eggs, but serama? common' I had to give it a chance. I nail polished now on day 14 they are still going. I will update with good news soon!

Hopefully a more developed egg will thrive with nail polish.

I am going to SC next month for a conference! First time, east coast, and first time south! I have a cousin there I never met too, we will meet after her work one evening while I am there.

Good luck with your egg!
