Hi, I/We are new here. Long story short... We were going to get chickens but not until we moved, which we are in process of now. My daughters class did a hatching experiment with 12 eggs. 8 hatched and 6 made it and at a week old we took in 6 chicks at Christmas 2015. Making our babies about 10-11 weeks old. I have been doing a lot of research with my 10 & 12yr olds. We only want pullets and no roosters. I believe we have 3 and 3. I am hoping I am wrong and we have more hens!!! Any help is appreciated!!!
I am going to post some picture overload now... :)

1st is our Polish Chicken and I am praying hen!

These next chickies I don't know the breed either. I believe one is a silver laced wyandotte, but am not sure. If anyone could help me with that too I would so, so, so, appreciate it! The eggs the teacher got were a mixed batch of what they called "fancy" chickens.

If other pictures are needed I have about a million (LOL...We love them all so much) so I def have more to post if needed.
Again, thank you so much for any help!

It looks like you did better than 3 and 3.

The Polish looks like a pullet in the first pic but more like a cockerel in the second. Could be the camera angle. Polish hens have a nice rounded crest while males have wild spiky dos. Are the ends of the "hair" round or pointy?

The gold patterned one is an Easter Egger pullet. The white ones are white Leghorn pullets. The one with grey splotches could be a splash Andalusian, and a pullet. The barred one is a Rock and also a pullet.

I have white leghorns and easter eggers that look just like yours, all pullets (in fact they started laying today).
I have no idea about the polish but I think all the rest are very likely pullets.

My kids and I are sitting here reading this and the excitement here is uncontainable!!! Thank you so much for all of your help! We have cared so much for our GIRLS since we got them and knowing this makes us so happy and feels amazing that we don't have to find homes for any of them. I never thought that I could feel this way about a chicken/chickens. Thank you again for all of your help with our 1st flock (I can't believe we have our 1st flock and I get to say that now!... Whoo hoo!)... The help with their breeds means a lot too. I look forward to making lots of friends here and learning so much from all of you here. So happy I decided to join!
Thank you again,
Lisa

Whoops... I was so excited about the news I forgot to check out Road Runner our Polish chick. I have some more pics that might help. Some feathers look round and others do not...

The above pic was a couple weeks ago.

I think the Polish is also a pullet.

Yeesh I should send your daughter's class some of my hatching eggs. They have one lucky incubator. Best I can do is 1/3 pullets! Even my silkies hatched 7/7 cockerels.

Our Polish has so much personality and is adorable. We were really hoping for a pullet...
Thank you so much again! I still can't believe we have all pullets...That's crazy they are all little girls. My kiddos are so happy which is what is all about :)
