Chirping baby chick!

I have a baby chick ( a rescue). Heat Lamp yes.... Food....yes....water.....yes. Very active and healthy and is eating like a champ. He or she hears my voice and instantly chirps even louder. I pick her up,sit in the chair with her and she still chirps, just not as loud.I am sitting up stairs and she was chirping, it has slowed then stopped....... Did this little bird imprint on me?  Is she lonely ?  When it hears or see's me  it wants to come  out of the  cage and then proceed to follow me around. She will sit on my chest and preen her self, or go through the motions of needing to roll in dust like my larger silkies too.I was just concerned that her excessive chirping could mean something else.At what age can you tell the sex of a baby chicken? This will be the second night we will have her.The first night she slept fine with a heat blanket as we didn't have a lamp.So , sleeping in the evening doesn't seem to be a problem either. I am thinking I have a very appreciate rescue baby chick :) Going to tip toe down stairs and see if she finally decided to sleep as the chirping has stopped.

Also.. at what age will he or she be able to be put out with my silkie rooster and hen and blue swedish hen? I thought as she get older I would slowly introduce her to the flock?

Thank you!

I used to have a baby chick that did that.  He was an EE.  Turned out to be the sweetest roo ever.  After he was grown hes roost on my legs and sit on the back of my chair but he was a LOUD MOUTH as a chick.  When integrating chicks, you need to give them time to get used to each other.  Put the chick (when its ready to go outside) in a crate of some type (I used a small dog crate) and let the others get used to her that way and vice versa.  When she is ready to be let out they will establish the pecking order with her and you should be fine.  Grats on rescuing the baby!!
