What could this be?

I went outside this morning to find one of my buffs like this. I don't think it's a dog as there's really nowhere a dog could get in.

Thanks for your help. I'm upset about this one cause that buff was the sweetest little thing.

Welcome to BYC, I'm sorry you lost one of your girls, I'm not great with predators but could a hawk fly in and get her, or a coon, or a mink, or.... what kind of predators are in your area?

Did it happen overnight?

Were they locked in a coop?

Great article on VENTILATION, one of THE MOST IMPORTANT aspects of coop design.

Fantastic treatise to help decide how much SPACE your chickens need.

 

Chicken math is not just 'addition'...but also should include Division, Multiplication and especially Subtraction!!!
