Golden Sex-Link Help

I figured that was what happened. Thanks for all the info! So you don't think they are the same breed? What is a production Red? Is that like a Rhode Island Red? They look so much alike.

Those are both female red sexlinks. Production Reds are a generic, solid red bird. Most hatchery Rhode Island Reds are actually Production Reds.

Here is a picture of their tails. 1. Is one of them a rooster? 2. They were sold to me as golden sex links.. Are they actually red sex links?
Not males at all. The one that you think has pointed feathers, is actually missing bits of those feathers. Look at the back feathering. All broad and rounded. Definitely female for both. The one with a redder comb is just a bit closer to being ready to start laying.

For future reference, the redding combs indicates the beginning of puberty. Cockerels mature much early and are bright red in the comb by 10 weeks of age, and are mature by about 13 to 18 weeks old. Pullets take longer to develop and don't start turning red until after 12 weeks of age. Pullets generally at least 4 to 5 months to start laying.
