Accidental Sex-Link Mixed Breed?

I'm curious if it's possible to determine the sex of these two chicks. They are the same age. The parents are a Leghorn hen and a Splash Maran roo.

I'm not an expert, but I was wondering if the chick on the left is female and the one on the right male? I'm guessing because the chick on the right has a black dot while the other doesn't. And the chick on the right has shorter feathers than the chick on the left?

What do y'all think? Thank you for any help y'all can give me!

Feather sexing only works if you know for sure whether the mother was slow feathering and the father was fast feathering.

Otherwise, it's just guessing. It's normal for chicks to have a bit of variation in the rate that they feather in. It doesn't necessarily indicate male or female.

Ok. So I need to find out about slow/fast feathering for a Leghorn hen and the Splash Maran roo. I'll look that up. Thank you.
