Per pound or kilo?  Kathy said that 0.18 mg per kilo up to 0.50 mg per kl is the recommended dosage.

Valbazen (albendazole 113.6 mg per ml)
100 mg/kg = 0.88 ml per kg or 0.4 ml per pound
50 mg/kg = 0.44 ml per kg or 0.2 ml per pound
20 mg/kg = 0.18 ml per kg or 0.08 ml per pound

Not sure I would use the 100 mg/kg unless a vet told me to.

My book says per pound of bird. It's called, " Let's Get Started Raising Peafowl!" By Stephanie Tindell. My book says cc per pound.

Can you post a picture of that? Not that I don't believe you, 'cause I do, but it would be a nice reference to have. big_smile.png

Sure. Here's a picture of the book cover to show which book.

You can take information from non-medical sources from books and the internet if you like, but I will stick to the medical references and manufacturers recommendations.

NPIP # KS-412

That would be wise. I was just saying that the information I gave is the only info I have to reference to.

It's a great reference to have, and what it says to me is that there is some validity to the 100 mg/kg reference I saw. Valbazen is not as safe as Safeguard, so I would want the okay from a vet before I gave that much, and I would be careful using it during breeding season.

I found a great article on fenbendazole that I'll post later.
