We have had our hens now for over a year. One of them had recently gotten bad diarrhea and was treating all with probiotics and apple viniger in their drinking water. Things were looking better but she took a turn for the worst and I don't believe she will pull out of it. Now she just sits on the ground and won't eat or drink. I believe its too late for her but what should I do with the other hens who appear very healthy as of now?

Antibiotics will only help about 10% of the things that can afflict chickens.

I'd be ready to send her for a necropsy or better yet, send her now for humane euthanasia and to know for sure what you are dealing with. The problem with medicating without knowing what is wrong is that if you do end up seeking lab work, those meds - especially antibiotics - can skew the results of the lab tests.

You can find your state lab in the following list.

Thank you for all your responses. My hen did pass, unknown cause. I am extra careful with the last 3 hens. They appear very healthy and full of energy.
