Great Spraddle leg treatment for feather-legged and/or bantam chicks!!

Use a child size hair elastic without the metal, make a twist in the middle:

You can make more or less twists to fit your chick comfortably.
Slide each loop over the leg and position just above the hock joint so it doesn't slip down.
Unless the other chicks are trampling it, you won't need to remove or isolate the affected chicks as they can walk, stand, eat and drink while wearing! No pain or distress when removing them

Leave on for 36 hours and then remove and see how your chick is doing. I had 3 bantams hatch in February with spraddle legs and successfully treated all 3! I put the bands on at 24-48 hours after hatch and they were waking normally after wearing them for 36 hours.

3 babies in this pic were wearing their little ponytail holders and healing as they went about their normal chicky activities!

I haven't had a chance to read this whole thread, so I"m not sure if this has been suggested.

We stop in the local grocery stores and go to the produce section. We ask for any of the scrap produce they have, to feed our chickens. They gave us a box of red lettuce the other day (probably 20 heads), they have given us bell peppers, apples, peaches, broccoli, tomatoes etc. It's whatever they have on hand at the time you go. They now save stuff for us.

When you are looking for treats for them, you can't beat free!!
