Hi, I have 7 pullets. I have 3 red sex links, and was supposed to have 4 barred rocks, but the 4th is (I believe) actually a black Australorp! I had 4 sex links, but one chick passed away right off the bat. Anyways, they have just started laying! I think that two of the red sex links are my layers and we are consistently getting 2 eggs a day for a week now. They all are early-mid September pullets. It is so exciting to go out and have eggs to grab now; my kids just love it! I've decided I want some more spring ones to raise and have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of amercaunas at our local farm store. They were due to arrive today, but didn't come in. I'm hoping for tomorrow and so are the kiddos. Anywho, looking forward to learning much more from others! Thanks for reading!

these are some of the eggs we have gotten since they started laying (the white ones are leftover store bought). I will get a photo of the one I suspect is an Australorp tomorrow! She is black with a greenish tint to her feathers. I came to the conclusion by looking at chicken breed photos, so, you know, I'm super educated on the subject ;)
