Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Hi, welcome and I'm sure you can deal easily enough with chickens after raising cows - just don't try to milk your chickens though - some members have tried already :D

The Learning Centre is a great resource, even for experienced chicken keepers - loads of info on anything chicken. http://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

Joining your state thread  will also put you in contact with other BYC members in your area.

The members here are amazing - very friendly and helpful, so if you need an answer to a question or simply want some reassurance that what you are doing is ok, then post away - we all help each other out here at BYC.

All the best

thanks everyone, this is our second coop but first on our own smile.png I have been reading and there is lots of good info. We are getting 3 rir and 3 barred rocks. Hopefully it will make for a good pairing. We have decided to call ours lil' deuce coop.
