Just brought home 6 pullets. One seems very strange, week and limp. Blinking and chirping. Laying down and feet curled. I took it out with the rest. I don't think she will make it. Do you agree? I would like to know soon so I can make a decision to feed her to the coyotes or give her a chance. Others are just walking all over her
Also, my last pullets I fed medicated feed. This time around I just got regular starter. The other new chicks seem to be fine.

I aided it in drinking water. It seemed to gurgle or whatever that motion is that chickens do open/close their mouths when they drink. It tried very hard to drink, but couldn't do it. I don't think she is going to make it. Thanks for your help

In Joel Salatins book " Pastured Poultry Profits" he describes the same problem and got no help from the vet., county agent, etc. His answer came from an old Vet. book he had that told of a similar deficiency, that was resolved by feeding liver. He said all his chickens went crazy over the liver until the flock deficiency was resolved by the feeding of beef liver. So you may have an opportunity to prevent others from this problem. Yes separate her and take care. She isn't in her natural environment so you need to help resolve the problem. I'm a beginner at this stuff, and appreciate this awesome site! Bill
