Thoughts on Twitchy's puff on the top of it's head? Is it also some sort of mixed breed? Maybe with Polish or Silkie in there somewhere?

I didn't realize before he had a crest, I think it is a Polish mix most likely.

I showed my wife a picture of a Polish, and she said "really? it's going to look like that?" :p

I'm pretty convinced that Twitchy is some sort of Polish mix at this point. My question is: can it be considered a bantam when it is almost as big as the GSLs in our little flock? 332bfb13ea81bef99bf8751b0f5bcd00.jpg

Probably depends on their final size? My silkies are superHUGE right now, even outweighing some of the standards.

Here are a few more pictures of Little Jo(e). While I'm not sure on about the breed, I'm pretty sure at this point that it is a boy.

I'm no help to answer your questions, but I am new to raising chicks and I also got some assorted bantams this spring as well. I have been curious about the growth progression of other chicks who are older than ours, so I am just popping in to say I appreciate your periodic updates. :)
