Hello everyone,
So I had 4 chickens, who split into their 2 pairs (they were introduced in), and only came together when they had too (hardly a flock).
But today one of my chickens was attacked by a dog and subsequently died from shock (still a baby and only just started developing her reds) The chicken she left behind in her pair was sleeping behind the other 2, but not with them and she did look quite sad and lonely. She's been Laying for about 1 1/2 weeks, and I don't know if it would be effective to buy a new chicken so she has a friend? Or would I just end up with 2 lonley chickens instead, as I'm not sure if she is too old to form that bond again.
