Your best bet is to have a fan in there as it will hold your temp within 1/2 degree. If the room temp changes, the temp in the bator will change also, the fan will hold your temp.
Blue backs are a ring neck so the same 99.5,humidity is different everywhere 50% works for me. Hatch time 25-26 days.
Do you have an auto turner? If not you will need to turn eggs 3 times daily.I would also suggest an auto turner as opening your bator 3 times daily will effect humidity.
You say a still air so I take it you are using a hovabator?I never had any luck with the Styrofoam bators in hatching pheasants.
I turn mine all the way thru.I have 2 R-rom incubators.Thought it would be big enough, but then I loaded up my pens and now I may need another.A friend of mine has offered to hatch them for me which I may do instead of spending money I don't have.As you can see under my post I have 17 breeds and multiple pairs or trios of most.Woops I have to add the new breeds to my list.

If you just got them, you need to let them stand for 24 hours before incubation.I turn mine all the wat thru to the end.
